New VeroSCORE Appraisal Review Enhancements: Property Photos & Valuation Bias Risk Detection

Streamlining property appraisal reviews and collateral risk assessment just got better with VeroSCORE’s newest enhancements. Designed for housing finance stakeholders, these updates deliver greater clarity and ease of use—all while maintaining Veros’ commitment to quality.

What’s New in VeroSCORE?

Veros Real Estate Solutions (Veros) has added key features to help users get the most from their appraisal reviews:

  • Subject Property Photo: The report now prominently displays the subject property photo at the top of page one, offering immediate clarity and a more engaging experience.
  • Improved Appraisal Comparable Sales Section: Redesigned for a cleaner layout, this section now includes photos of comparable properties, providing better context at a glance.
  • Bias or Restrictive Word Detection: Veros introduced a report section to identify potentially biased or restrictive text and further enhance the review process. This added feature, along with the overall risk score and assessment of over/undervaluation, adds a layer of protection addressing potential valuation bias proactively, ensuring greater confidence and compliance.
  • Photos of Nearby Sales and Expanded Photo Sections: When available, the report now includes photos of nearby sales and allows up to nine images each for the subject property and selected comparables from the appraisal, offering a comprehensive visual overview.*

Why These Enhancements Matter

These updates are more than cosmetic. Adding property photos to VeroSCORE makes it easier to visualize and understand the property and makes the report more engaging and easier to digest. The professional presentation, enhanced with visuals, reinforces organizational credibility and attention to detail.
Most importantly, the bias detection feature highlights Veros’ commitment to helping users meet regulatory requirements and address valuation concerns. This safeguard ensures that users can trust the integrity of their appraisals.
